My Story

I’m Kondwani Jere—a documentary photographer, storyteller, and communications specialist from Malawi. My passion lies in uncovering stories that not only connect us but also inspire action and understanding.

 

Over the past eight years, I’ve worked with organizations like the Global Fund, UNDP, IFAD, and SolarAid, using my craft to amplify voices and bridge local experiences with global audiences. Whether documenting the resilience of farmers or the dedication of frontline health workers, my focus has always been on ethical storytelling that respects and uplifts.

 

Beyond the camera, I’ve shared my experiences and insights through workshops and masterclasses, including at the International Fundraising Congress (IFC) of the Resource Alliance. These opportunities have reinforced my commitment to storytelling as a tool for building trust, fostering empathy, and sparking meaningful change.

 

Now, I’m expanding into strategic communications and knowledge management, aiming to create stories and strategies that inform, engage, and leave lasting impact. At the heart of everything I do is collaboration—a belief that the most impactful stories are built on respect, curiosity, and shared purpose.
